Welcome to TrembleWorths Christmas News (and Special Offers!)
The online, nation-wide, family-run, top-quality bargain-basement department store! Bringing you the very best in cheap tack luxury shopping at a price that’s right for us you, since – well, forever it seems like!
This year we want to introduce you to some of our hard-working staff, each one a specialist in their field and dedicated to getting their lunch break the very best deal for the customer!
JEWELLERY
Our top buyer for bling elegant and fashionable jewellery is Tom, who this year presented Charlotte with a very special ring! (See picture below). They are also working together to find the perfect location for a wedding.
PETS
Another new venture from Tom and Charlotte! They recently introduced Benni (picture below) into their Nottingham home: not the first cat we’ve had in TrembleWorths, but it looks to be the maddest! Meanwhile, down in Bath, we still have Blaze – a very venerable old dog now, who spends most of his time sleeping. Works for me! We also seem to have an Eternal Chicken – the last one left from the little flock we had in Brownhills, who seems determined to keep on going…
STOP PRESS: since this was first drafted, the Eternal Chicken has sadly disappeared. Not a feather left behind. Either she flew south for the winter or... she didn't.
SPECIAL OFFER from Tom: various household items with unique decorative claw marks!
MUSIC
Matt is still the leader in this field. Based up at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, he’s now in the third year of his course in composition. So if you want a nice little melody whipping up, he’s the one to speak to.
Except when he’s working at his other job, that is – the one that pays actual money! That involves mixing cocktails and serving drinks at The Jamhouse, which is obviously the place to be in Birmingham. All this means that we haven’t seen so much of him this year – apart from when he comes back to walk Blaze.
SPECIAL OFFER from Matt: bespoke tune for any occasion – everything from jingles to symphonies! For a little extra, he’ll mix you a cocktail to go with it.
FOREIGN TRAVEL
Want to get away from British gloom and see some sunshine and colour? Andy’s the person to talk to! He and Abbey went on a church youth trip to Rwanda this summer (following in his Mum’s footsteps – she’s been there three times!). It was a very powerful and moving experience for all of those who took part.
It hasn’t all been trips abroad this year, though. Andy’s also been very busy with his A-level course and planning to go to Uni next year to study Veterinary Science. And along the way he’s picked up an award for School Physicist of the Year!
SPECIAL OFFER: He’d really like to get rid of this hat! (Can you blame him? See below!).
ARTS AND CRAFTS
The go-to person in this area is definitely Annie! You want a plastic flower or an elf hat (as modelled by Andy, below) – she knows how it’s done. Or she can find out. And Annie also has charge of our Gardening Department, so can provide real flowers if required. All very useful skills for a Deacon running a community partnership project. Plus doing the planning and organising and networking and attending meetings and visiting people and… etc. She just needs a few more hours a day and a few more days a week…
One highlight was the Dorothy House Moonlight Walk, where she helped raise money for the Dorothy House Hospice. She got to dress up a bit, and met some interesting people! (see picture below!).
SPECIAL OFFER: Free service! Not for your car – for you! (Donations accepted).
LITERATURE
That’ll be Paul’s department, then! His new novel, ‘Local Artist’ (the second of his books published by Lion Hudson) is out now! So if you want to find out how two murders, thirty years apart, are linked by a painting…
(Here’s the link to Amazon: http://mytitles.net/paul-trembling-local-artist-pb?uid=2748 )
And he’s still doing some bookkeeping down at St Michaels Without, in the city centre. He does enjoy counting money, even if it’s not his.
SPECIAL OFFER: Signed copy! You buy the book, I’ll provide the signature! (Small service charge to cover the cost of the ink).
OTHER NEWS
Annie and Paul are also in the process of starting a new venture as they plan to become foster carers. They have been going through the process over the year and were finally approved in August. Still waiting, at the present time, for the first placement!
So don’t forget – for all your Christmas Shopping, come to TrembleWorths – where you’ll never always find what you’re looking for!
Note from Managing Director: OK as a first draft, but please note my amendments. Delete the underlined words and replace with the ones in red. DO NOT let this go out as it is!
